Rules
Rules of play
Kingsweek is a free browser game by Görle Dev Production. By playing you agree to these rules. They are short on purpose: play the way you would want the others to play.
Be fair
- Play for yourself and let the others do the same. One browser, one place in a world.
- Do not harass, threaten or insult other players, with your name, your play or the feedback you send.
- Do not post personal data of others, and do not use someone else's name as your own.
Names
- Pick a name you would say out loud in front of strangers. No insults, hate, sexual content, advertising, or the real name of another person.
- Names that look like ours or like a moderator's (for example Admin, Kingsweek, Mod, Founder) are reserved.
- No name belongs to you for good: two players may share a name and then differ by the code that follows it. We may replace or block a name at any time, without asking.
- You can report a name on a profile page.
Cheating
- Do not use scripts, programs or other automation to play, to join worlds, to fill them or to send requests in large numbers.
- Do not change the game in your browser to gain an edge, and do not read or copy other players' hidden information by technical means.
- Do not exploit a mistake in the game on purpose. If you find one, tell us at hello@kingsweek.io.
- Do not attack the website or the game servers, and do not try to get at data that is not yours.
- Do not work together with others to fix the outcome of a round.
Bans
If you break these rules, we may remove you from a round, block your name, or block your player id or your account for a day, for longer or for good. A ban of a guest follows the id of the browser; we cannot and do not look for the person behind it. We decide by hand and need not give a reason, but you may write to us and ask. Bans, and the reasons we note for them, are described in the privacy policy.
Accounts, age and playing without an account
- You can play without an account, and we do not ask for your age then.
- An account is for people who are at least 16 years old. If you are younger, play without an account and ask a parent first.
- An account is optional, and you may sign in with Discord. Keep your sign-in to yourself; what happens under your account is yours to answer for.
- You can delete your account and your saved results yourself, see the privacy policy.
This is an open beta
- Kingsweek is not finished. Things break, worlds end, rules and balance change, and the game or parts of it may be switched off, paused or reset at any time.
- Results, names, ranks and accounts may be deleted or reset when the beta ends or when the game changes. Nothing you earn is property or has a value in money.
- The game is provided as it is, with no warranty that it works, is always available or is free of errors. We are not liable for lost rounds, lost results or interrupted games. This does not limit our liability for harm to life, body or health, for intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow it.
- The game is free, and there is nothing to buy in it.
Changes
We may change these rules, for example when the game or the law changes. The date below shows the current version. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new rules. The English text is the binding one; the German summary at the top is only a short version.
